Sitting in the dark,

Wondering what went wrong.

Feeling the pain,

Wishing it would go away.

Wanting to hold you,

One last time.

Wanting to kiss you,

And see your smile.

To hear you whisper, “I love you”

And that you will never leave.

I know it’s over,

And it’s killing me inside.

I will never forget you,

I will love you to the end.

You are my one true love,

And I’ve let it all go.

So with these words,

I say farewell.

very sad but with a brighter ending. it is lovely. So many poems I read in journals are all sad sack I am going to kill myself blah blah. You leave the ending up to the reader how they should take it. I like this alot

So much different,

Yet, so much alike.

They thrive on each other,

And they rule the night.



Together they are immortal,

Apart they are strong.

They searched for each other,

For a time that was so long.



From one lifetime to the next,

They Traveled and searched,

For the other part of them,

Hiding in the shadows, they lurked.



Finding each other,

In such a strange place.

Realizing at that moment,

They had found their mate.



They live their lives together,

And will never again part.

Their spirits are as one,

As is the unity of their hearts.
